ICBC Global Market: FX Market Update - October 16, 2018
 

The dollar index fell 0.17 percent to 95.059 against a basket of currencies on Monday after retail sales data for September missed economists’expectations, and as benchmark U.S. Treasury yields consolidated after hitting seven-year highs last week. The euro rose 0.13 percent to $1.1577. Against the yen, the dollar was down 0.38 percent at 111.76. The euro is expected to meet resistance and support against the dollar at $1.1636 and $1.1357 respectively, while the dollar is expected to meet resistance and support against the yen at 114.55 and 111.51 respectively.
