Canadian stock market closes higher-Feb 14
 

Canada's main stock market rebounded Thursday due to the rally of tech stocks.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index rose 69.25 points, or 0.44 percent, to end the day 15,695.98 points.

The Canadian dollar traded at an average of 0.7520 U.S. dollar compared with an average of 0.7553 dollar on Wednesday.

On the market, a total of 166 issues rose while 67 fell. There were 10 new highs and three new lows, with total volume of 304.8 million shares.

The energy group rose 1.04 points,or 0.70 percent while the financials sector was down 0.36 points, or 0.12 percent.

Leading the index were Bombardier Inc, up 23.04 percent, Precision Drilling Corp, up 14.8 percent, and Constellation Software Inc, higher by 14.24 percent.
