ICBC Issues China’s First “1+1” Chip Business Credit Card

Recently, ICBC successfully issued the first "1+1" chip business credit card in China. The card consists of an international brand (VISA or MASTERCARD) single-logo chip business card and a UnionPay single-logo chip business card, supporting contact and contactless use.

The two cards have separate numbers and shared credit limit. For daily use in China, customers only need to carry the UnionPay card, while the international brand card is globally acceptable and more suitable for use outside China. Customers only need to fill out an application form to receive both cards. The customer already having a business credit card with a UnionPay logo simply need to apply for an international brand card and link it with the original account, when the limit can be shared.

The "1+1" chip business card is both an ICBC credit card and a business credit card. In addition to the benefits available to ICBC credit cards, this card also features exclusive services for business credit cards. It provides official consumption and financial reimbursement services for government departments and large enterprises, offering traceable consumption, evidenced reimbursement, high security and additional benefits for use of cards. Meanwhile, to make business travel more enjoyable the card provides a series of value-added services including travel insurance, ticket concessions, airport transfer, airport parking, and airport/high-speed rail lounge VIPs.

According to an ICBC official, the Bank has issued more than 120 million credit cards as of the end of November, including more than 8 million government credit cards, serving more than 120,000 central and local Party and government offices and administrative institutions.
