ICBC Takes the Lead in Launching SWATCH PAY
 

ICBC recently announced its support for the Swiss watch manufacturer Swatch to launch the watch payment function, becoming one of the world's first commercial banks to support SWATCH PAY (payment via Swatch wrist watch). Cardholders who buy a watch with SWATCH PAY function can achieve wrist pay upon activating the non-contact payment function by binding ICBC credit card or debit card with the mobile phone APP and the reader.

Bellamy wrist watch, which can be used for SWATCH PAY, is exclusively introduced into the Chinese market by Swatch Group. After bound with ICBC credit card or debit card, it will be equipped with strong financial functions such as non-touch payment, consumption and cash withdrawal, installment, and realize wrist pay on POS terminals that support UnionPay “Cloud Quick Payment”.

An ICBC official said that the rapid growth of mobile payment not only provides convenient payment experience and various payment scenarios, but also brings development opportunities and innovation vitality to credit card and other traditional payment tools. ICBC has continued to step up innovation in the field of mobile payment by taking the lead in China to launch ICBC HCE Cloud Quick Payment credit card and launching Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Huawei Pay and Mi Pay. It has expanded mobile payment scenarios from mobile phones to wearable devices like watches, and introduced Huawei smart watch pay and Swatch wrist watch pay. Through these efforts, ICBC has set up a comprehensive payment product system with near-field card payment offline and remote one-click payment online.
