ICBC Tops the Forbes Global 2000 for the Fifth Consecutive Years
 

Forbes has recently announced its 2017 Global 2000 ranking. ICBC tops the ranking for the fifth consecutive year.

According to the rank, despite slower economic growth, Chinese and US companies still account for 40% of the companies on the list. The top ten consists of four Chinese companies, five US companies and one Japanese company. ICBC is listed atop, followed by China Construction Bank and Berkshire Hathaway controlled by Warren Buffett.

The Forbes Global 2000 is a ranking of the top 2,000 public companies in the world, which is released in May on yearly basis. The list ranks global public companies by sales, profit, assets and market value. The public companies on the 2017 list come from 58 countries and territories, with combined sales of USD 35.3 trillion, profit of USD 2.5 trillion, assets of USD 169.1 trillion, and market value of USD 48.8 trillion.
