Oil prices rose on Monday as the OPEC members were seeking to resolve their differences on a deal to cut production ahead of a meeting later this month. The front-month in WTI settled up 1.39 percent to $43.72 a barrel. The front-month in Brent crude futures closed 0.54 percent higher to $44.76 a barrel. The spread between the two benchmarks stood at $1.04 a barrel.
