Gold rallied to a one-month high on Wednesday, as uncertainty over the outcome of the U.S. election drove investors to safe-haven assets, but bullion pared gains slightly after the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady as expected. The yellow metal rose 0.71 percent at $1,296.89 an ounce. Silver gained 0.66 percent at 18.44 an ounce.
