ICBC Global Market: Precious Metal Market Update - October 12, 2016
 

Gold prices fell on Tuesday as the dollar strengthened on increasing bets that the Federal Reserve will raise U.S. interest rates in December. Investors awaited the release of minutes of the latest Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meeting to see how close the central bank came last month to hiking rates. The yellow metal was down 0.52 percent at $1,252.75 an ounce. Silver fell 1.08 percent at $17.44 an ounce.
